This scholarship is open to high school students in metro Atlanta. The application Deadline is December 1st, 2015

Up to five scholarships will be awarded, and applicants will be judged solely on their display board or essay.

Winners will be notified by December 15th

There are two ways to complete:

Story Board

In addition to the one page application form, create a story board (free standing poster) demonstrating the importance of honey bees and their relationship with humans.

...or Essay Question

In Addition to the one page application form, please write a 500 word essay on one of the following questions:

  1. What can we do to increase our pollinator numbers in greater Atlanta?

  2. Why do we need honey bees in the city and suburbs?

All essays become the property of Metro Atlanta Beekeepers Association, a 501(c)3 corporation, and may be published. Winners allow their photo to be published. Winners are expected to attend the course on January 16th, 2016.
